Payment methods:

At we accept payments made by iDeal, Bancontact, PayPal, SofortBanking/DIRECTebanking, Belfius, KBC/CBC, Creditcard and afterwards through invoice*. Only for creditcard payments there is an additional surcharge of 2%.

Payments are being processed by Mollie, one of the larger payment providers. When you choose one of the online payment methods, our webshop software will re-direct you to the safe online payment environment of Mollie that is known for it's stable and reliable online payment services.

It is also possible to pay us afterwards through invoice: upon receipt of your parcel, you make a bank transfer towards our IBAN number (bank account number). Walvis explicitly preserves the right of refusal of such orders. Are you placing an order with us for the first time? Your order will almost certainly be refused.


To minimalize the possibility of fraud as much as possible, refunds are always made towards the same (online) payment source of which we received your original payment. When you have payed us for example by iDeal or afterwards through invoice, we will refund the money to the same bank account number as it originally came from. In case you made a payment from a PayPal account, we will make the refund to that same PayPal account. Refunds are always made within maximum of 14 days after receipt of your return-shipment into our warehouse and in daily practice within a few days.

Shipping Costs:

No matter how large or small your order is, we always charge a fixed shipping rate per order. Walvis ships to all EU countries. The height of the shipping charge varies per country.  You will find an overview of our shipping rates on our "About Us" page. All mentioned prices include 21 % Dutch VAT.

Refund of shipping costs:

When we actually received your return-shipment, then we also refund the shipping charge that you originally paid to us when you placed your order. In case you return only a part of your order, we will not refund the original shipping charge that you paid us. You are always responsible for the shipping costs that you make for returning your order; these costs will not be refunded.  

Payment methods for orders that you collect at our warehouse:

You can collect your goods only after we sent you a message that your order is ready for pick-up. For orders that you want to collect at our warehouse, you can make your payment during the check out process in our webshop either by iDeal, PayPal or Bancontact. If desired you can also pay in cash when you pick-up your order. If so, you are kindly requested to pay appropriately. Unfortunately, we do not accept any debit or credit card payments. It is always wise to inform in advance whether an item is on stock. This is almost always the matter, but yet.

VAT reverse charge for foreign customers:

Solely for foreign customers who place an order on behalf of their company and have a valid foreign VAT number, as of October 31, 2019 our webshop will automatically reverse VAT. This is a so-called intra-Community delivery where VAT reverse charging applies. For such orders it is absolutely necessary that you fill in the appropriate fields correctly. The company name and other (address) data must correspond with the registration of the VAT number. Every order for which the customer has opted for a VAT reverse charge is, before we execute the order, checked for validity and conformity based on the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System). VIES is an online information system managed by the European Commission for checking VAT numbers of companies and other organizations registered in the European Union for the supply of goods or services across the internal borders. If you have provided an incorrect or invalid VAT number or if there is no conformity between the data of the company and the given VAT number, then we are prohibited by law to process your order. In such a case we will of course always contact you. Is your company just recently registered and is your VAT number just new? Also depending on the country where your company is located, it can take 2 to 3 weeks before your VAT number is known in the VIES. Also here applies that, as long as we cannot check for conformity at VIES, we cannot execute your order.


Our parcel shipments within The Netherlands and Belgium are being delivered by PostNL. The delivery/transfer time within The Netherlands and Belgium is usually one day. PostNL makes deliveries from Mondays to Saturdays. There will be no deliveries on Sundays. Only for The Netherlands and Belgium it is possible to have your parcel delivered at a PostNL collection point. When desired, please choose a collection point during the check-out process in our webshop. Our software shows you automatically those collection points which are as close as possible to your location. There will always be one nearby. After the parcel has been delivered at the collection point, PostNL will send you a notification by e-mail or app.

All deliveries in other EU countries than The Netherlands and Belgium will be processed by a partner company of PostNL. The delivery/transfer time varies per country. 

In case there is nobody present, the deliverer will leave a notification message in your mailbox. With this notification, you will be invited to pick-up your parcel (The Netherlands & Belgium) at a nearby PostNL collection point. For other countries, this will be a nearby collection point of the PostNL partner company in your country. Parcels that are not collected will be returned to us. In such a case you are responsible for the shipping charges. 

To guarantuee an as accurate as possible delivery, we ask you to fill in a delivery address where during the day somebody is present to accept the parcel. As far as we are concerned, this address may also be your work address or the address of your neighbors. In principle the deliverer will always ask for a name and signature.

In case of any problems regarding the delivery of your parcel, please contact us as soon as possible.
